Why a schedule works better
Most grill problems build slowly. Grease accumulates a little each cook. Spiders move into burner tubes over a few quiet months. Salt film settles on stainless every foggy morning near the coast. None of it is a problem on day one, and all of it is a problem by the time you notice. A cleaning every six or twelve months catches it while it's still a cleaning, before it turns into a burner replacement or a grease fire.
Plans also make service easier to fit in. You don't have to remember when the grill was last done, or call in May when everyone else is calling too. We track it and get in touch.
How a maintenance plan works
- 1
First visit
We start with a full cleaning and inspection, note the brand, model and condition, and fix anything that needs fixing so the grill starts from a good baseline.
- 2
Set the interval
Based on how often you cook, where you live and what we found, we recommend a schedule: usually every 6 or 12 months, sometimes every 3 or 4 for heavy use or rentals.
- 3
We reach out
When a visit is coming up, we call or text to set a time that works. You can move it if the timing is bad.
- 4
Recurring visits
Each visit is a full cleaning plus a check of gas connections, ignition and burners, along with anything else on your plan.
- 5
Service history
Every visit is logged with notes and photos, so you can see how the grill is holding up and plan ahead for parts that are wearing out.
Typical schedules
These are starting points. We adjust after a visit or two based on what we actually find.
| Situation | Usual interval | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Occasional home use, inland | Every 12 months | Spring cleaning before the busy season covers most homes. |
| Weekly grilling | Every 6 months | Grease builds faster and flare-ups start sooner. |
| Within a few miles of the ocean | Every 6 months | Salt film needs to come off stainless before it starts pitting. |
| Short-term rentals | Every 3 to 4 months | Guests cook hard and rarely clean up. |
| Large outdoor kitchens | Every 6 months | Several appliances, more places for problems to start. |
| Shared or commercial grills | Monthly to quarterly | See our HOA and commercial service pages. |
What each visit can include
Every plan includes a cleaning and safety check. Some homes add other appliances or services.
- Full teardown cleaning of the grill
- Gas connection leak test
- Ignition and burner check, with flame adjusted
- Stainless exterior polished
- Side burners, griddles and pizza ovens in the same island
- Gas fire pits, fireplaces and patio heaters
- Smokers and pellet grills
- A note on parts that are wearing and roughly when they'll need replacing
Who plans are for
Plans make the most sense for people who grill a lot, homes near the beach, short-term rental owners, and anyone with a full outdoor kitchen they'd rather not think about. They're also useful for landlords and property managers with several homes, since one schedule covers all of them. If you grill a few times a summer inland, a single yearly cleaning booked on your own may be all you need, and we'll tell you that.
What plans don't cover
A maintenance plan covers scheduled cleanings and safety checks. Repairs and replacement parts are quoted separately when they come up, and we'll never do a repair without your okay. Plans aren't a warranty or insurance against failure. You can pause or cancel whenever you like.
Maintenance plan questions
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Plans are just a recurring schedule. You can change the interval, pause or cancel when you want.
What happens if you find something that needs repair?
We tell you what it is, show you, and give you a quote. If we have the part and you want it done, we can do it that visit. Otherwise we schedule it.
Can I include my fire pit and patio heaters?
Yes. Many plans include every gas appliance on the patio, so it's all done on one visit.
Do I need to be home for each visit?
No, as long as we can get to the grill and the gas shutoff. We'll send a summary and photos afterward.
Can I start a plan with a grill that's in rough shape?
Yes. The first visit may include repairs or a restoration to bring it back to a good baseline, and the plan keeps it there.
How is a plan priced?
It depends on the grill and other appliances included, their condition and how often you want visits. Call or text us and we'll put together a quote for your setup.
