BradburyGrill Cleaning & BBQ Repair

Bradbury is small, gated and spread out over big foothill lots. The outdoor kitchens here tend to be large, a long walk from the street, and sitting close to brush and barns. We plan our visits around all of that.

Getting to the grill

Most of Bradbury sits behind gates, and many properties have a second gate at the driveway. When you book, tell us how the gate works: a code, a call box, or someone meeting the truck. If there's a guard station, put us on the list for the day. It saves a lot of standing around for everyone.

Once we're in, the grill is often far from where we can park. That's fine. We carry drop cloths, tools, parts and containers for the dirty rinse water on a cart, and we'll ask before rolling anything across a lawn, an arena footing or decomposed granite paths.

What a Bradbury outdoor kitchen usually includes

On a lot measured in acres, the grill is rarely alone. These are the pieces we most often service on the same visit.

Barns, hay and mice

Horse properties come with feed, hay and tack rooms, and all three bring mice. A grill that sits under a cover for a few weeks is a warm, sheltered spot with crumbs in it. We regularly pull nests out of the space under the burners, find wiring to igniters and grill lights chewed through, and clean droppings out of drawers and storage doors.

We wear gloves and masks for that part and clean the area with a food-safe sanitizer before reassembly. Our write-up on mice and rats in your grill covers what you can do between visits. Spiders are the other foothill regular. They build webs in the burner venturi tubes and the gas backs up, which shows up as a lazy yellow flame or a grill that won't light on one side. See spider and insect blockages.

How the cleaning stays off your property

On a property with pastures, paddocks or a pool, we're careful about where things drain. Our degreasers are biodegradable and food-safe, and we rinse with hot water and steam where that does the job. The greasy water is caught on site and leaves in our containers instead of soaking into the ground near a water trough or running down a slope. More on that on our eco-friendly cleaning page.

Questions from Bradbury homeowners

Do I need to be home for the visit?

Not always. If someone can let us through the gates and the grill is reachable, we can do the work and send you photos when we're done. We do need the gas supply accessible.

Can you service several appliances in one trip?

Yes, and on most Bradbury properties that's the sensible way to do it. Tell us what's out there when you book so we bring enough time and parts.

Our built-in is older and parts are hard to find. Can you still help?

Often. We can track down parts for many discontinued models, and if the grill is truly done we can supply and install a new one in the existing island.

What will it cost?

That depends on how many appliances there are, the brands and their condition. Call or text us, or send a few photos, and we'll quote it.
