CarsonGrill Cleaning & BBQ Repair

In Carson the grill isn't a summer toy. It feeds birthdays, graduations and a full yard of family most weekends, and it wears like it. We come to you, clean it down to the burners and fix what's tired.

Built for big cookouts, worn by them

Most of Carson is single-story homes from the 1950s and 60s, with backyards that have been extended, covered and rearranged over the decades. What sits out there tends to be a big propane cart, a flat-top griddle, maybe a charcoal kettle or a smoker for the long cooks, and in a growing number of yards a block island with a built-in grill. These are working grills. They run for hours at a time and feed a crowd.

Heavy use shows up in specific places. Grease builds in the bottom of the firebox faster than any drip tray can handle, so flare-ups get worse every month. Burners on a cart grill used every weekend rust through at the seams in a few years. Griddle tops get a carbon crust around the edges that eventually flakes into food. And the cheap regulator that came with the cart starts to restrict gas, which people mistake for a dying grill.

None of that means it's time to throw it out. A lot of what we do in Carson is the unglamorous middle ground: a deep clean, a set of burners, a new regulator and hose, and the grill goes another few seasons.

How a visit goes

  1. 1

    Send a photo

Call or text, or send a couple of photos of the grill and any part that's giving you trouble. It helps us bring the right parts.

  2. 2

We set up in the yard

Drop cloths go down, the grill comes apart, and the greasy parts get cleaned with biodegradable degreaser and hot water.

  3. 3

    Problems get flagged

If a burner is rotted or an igniter is dead, we show you and tell you what it'll take before doing anything extra.

  4. 4

    Test fire

Every burner gets lit and checked for an even blue flame, and we check fittings for leaks before we pack up.

Where we go

We work all over Carson, from the neighborhoods around Cal State Dominguez Hills and Victoria Park down to the streets near the 405 and over toward the Torrance line. Mobile home parks are fine too; we just need room to set out a tarp next to the grill. If you're in nearby Wilmington or Torrance, it's the same crew.

Questions from Carson

My cart grill is maybe eight years old. Worth fixing?

Often, yes. If the firebox and frame are solid, new burners and a regulator bring it back. If the cookbox itself is rusted through, we'll tell you straight and talk about replacement instead.

Can you clean it right before a party?

Yes, and a lot of people book that way. Give us a few days' notice before a big weekend and we'll try to fit you in ahead of it.

Do you work on flat-top griddles?

We do. Cleaning, re-seasoning, and burner or igniter repair. Our griddle care guide covers what to do between visits.

What does it cost?

It depends on the type and size of the grill, its condition and whether parts are needed. Send us a couple of photos and we'll give you a quote.
