Silver Lake is a hilly neighborhood in central Los Angeles built around the Silver Lake Reservoir. Its streets wind up and over ridges, and the housing mixes 1920s Spanish and Craftsman homes with a well-known collection of modernist houses by Richard Neutra, Rudolph Schindler and their contemporaries. Lots are mostly small and sloping. Outdoor space tends to be a deck, a terrace cut into the hill or a compact backyard.
Within that space, people cook ambitiously. A typical setup might be a gas grill for everyday use, a pellet smoker or kamado for weekends, and a countertop or wood-fired pizza oven. Each of those needs a different kind of cleaning, and many companies only handle the gas grill.

Small yards and steep stairs
Plenty of Silver Lake homes are reached by a long stair from the street, and some backyards are only accessible through the house. That's normal for us. We pack tools to carry, protect floors on the way through and set up a tidy work area on the deck. Tell us about tight access or parking when you book and we'll plan for it.
